Kiwi's Stats
Kiwi is a Kune Kune sow

Kune Kune pigs are a small breed of pig from New Zealand. They are completely covered in hair which can be a range of colours and have 'piri piri' or tassels under their chins.
The name Kune Kune means 'fat and round' in Maori.
Kiwi came to Wellgate from Mudchute City Farm when she was 9 weeks old. She is very friendly, wagging her tail whenever you walk by and coming out of the sty to say hello. She loves company and when she was small, would lie on your lap for a cuddle!
In February 2001 she had her first litter of piglets. She was a very good mum, and although we provided a heat lamp for the piglets she preferred to build them a nest every night to keep them warm.
